★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice local pastry shop. Sandwiches were great, bread is fresh and coffee was not bad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have a branch in Cascais market where we ordered 2 cappuccinos, 1 hot chocolate and pastry which totalled to 8.45 euros. We were surprised that each cappuccino cost 2.80 euro which tasted like ordinary coffee with milk with the added foam, nothing special about it. The hot chocolate is nothing out of the ordinary and had too much sugar in it.
Our mistake was not checking for the price before ordering as the prices are more or less the same in most coffee shops except for starbucks or those with something special in the ambiance or with the coffee.
The lady already prepared our order prior to preparing the bill, thus, we felt that it would be troublesome for both if we cancel the order at that point.
To summarise, cappuccino and hot chocolate are overpriced and not worth buying from there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice cafe, with a charming terrace. Clean and well presented. The bread is baked there everyday, several batches per day.
The food is also good and there is a daily menu (serves lunches only, or late lunches until 7pm). The staff is friendly and efficient.
However, I rated this establishment with 4 stars because everything is too expensive. For example, the cappuccino is too expensive (it costs 2,80€) for the quality you receive, which is mediocre. I could have asked for a “galão” and payed 1,15€ instead. Basically, you pay 1,55€ for foam, and the cappuccino is served in a smaller cup. The galão is in a bigger cup with more quantity and exactly the same thing, except for the foam. I understand this place is not a Starbucks, which is specialised in cappuccino or coffee, but come on. Foam is foam; it shouldn’t be expensive.
The bread baguette I ordered was freshly made, but it wasn’t very tasty. Kind of boring actually and it didn’t have a lot of butter, so that’s probably why I didn’t feel very impressed with the taste.
On a positive note, the coffee can be served with vegetable milk and they don’t charge you extra for it. As I mentioned before, everything looks clean, which is definitely a plus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sometimes mixed quality of service though you can get lucky!
There are some good preserves and baked products (biscuits) and they baked their bread. Just across the road from the beach in Vale de Santa Rita it’s a good stop for a coffee. Around the corner a good deli / charcuterie…
Prices vary so be wary !
One of the better coffee shops in the area and they serve lunches also ( soups etc too)
