★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food (they're legendary for desserts, which unfortunately we didn't try). We had dinner, which was solid, good food. It was late, and staff was a little slow and hard to attract, but we walked in off the street and were grateful to get a meal. Love Beja!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cafe with restaurant upstairs. The cafe looks after you well - proper bread, olives, cheese and cans of fish pate brought to our table on arrival. Delicious Alentejo bread and egg soup, then for mains we had a cheese omlette (the veggie option) and lamb. Both excellent in their simplicity. This place is so lovely that we returned the next day to try more dishes!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very lovely food and friendly staff. We had lamb chops, daily fish dish, omelette dish and soup of the day for a child. Very fairly priced too, everything tasted fresh. Would go back again.
