What a wonderful hidden delight. Tucked away from the popular areas in semi rural surroundings is this gem of a restaurant. From the moment we arrived and received an exceptionally warm welcome to the final complimentary port every aspect of our evening was delightful. The food was superb, the wine made specifically for the restaurant sublime and the service made our visit a joy. We have been coming to this part of Portugal for over two decades and only just discovered this treasure and we are kicking ourselves for not doing so much sooner. However, this will now be a regular haunt for us and is firmly on our list of must visits for the future. Simply fabulous.

Very friendly family run restaurant who were very welcoming us on a non pre booked table for 10 evening meal visit. Food tasty and well presented. Would go back.

More of a 4.5 stars if I could give half stars on Google maps, but nevertheless a great dining experience in a quaint but cozy place off the beaten paths of Almancil. The decor and tableware lend a charming vibe to the restaurant that is matched by wonderfully attentive and friendly service. We came for dinner and ordered the Mozambique prawns, monkfish gratin (not pictured) and "clay shingle kid", which is young goat served in a repurposed clay roof shingle. The mains were preceded by bread, soft cheese with honey, butter and sliced sausages which was very welcome. The mains themselves were well executed, although the monkfish was a tad on the dry/mealy side (-0.5 stars) although my only other point of reference for cooked monkfish is Japanese style steamed monkfish. All in all a stellar dining experience that I would definitely recommend going to if you're in the mood for some Mozambique style seafood.

Had the greatest 70th birthday dinner. Leonel and his team were so attentive. Great food, excellent wines. Fun birthday pudding with a roman candle! Perfect.
