★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little hidden treasure of Viana do Castelo. The Berlin balls are incredible and only come out two times a day. I believe 11am and 4pm. You can usually tell by the long line up down the street. Well worth the wait!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very, very good pastry! However during summer it has huuuuuuuge queues to be served, which could be improved if more people were at front desk! Also, only starts serving Bolinhas de Berlim very late in the morning or afternoon. It is a fact that it should not become too commercial, but like this is simply frustrating!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were visiting Viana and were told by some Portuguese friends that there are two competitive pastelatias in town that are owned by two brothers that offer the best bolas in Viana and Portugal.
We tried both bakeries and the bolas here at Natario are good but they are denser than the ones offered at "Ze Natario Pastelatias" a couple of blocks away on the Av. dos Combatentes da Grande Guerra 23.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wasn't quite sure what we got in line for but when the line is 40 deep at a pastry shop you know their doing something right. Took 30 min to get to the counter but it was worth every second. This little hot deliciousness is a must. We made the mistake of ordering two, for two people.....go ahead order more, you won't be sorry!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely different from the ones you get on other regular patisseries. The filling is a different recipe and the outside is covered in sugar as well as cinnamon. Worth trying.
