He offered us free starter and later charged butter for 10€ and low grade fish pate for another 10€. Other food was 3/5.

One of the worst Restaurant experience so far in my life. Too costly and the food didn't taste at all. Its a scam. Keep away

We stopped at what looked a good restaurant which was very busy. A waiter showed us a menu and said there was a table further down. We were then led from edge of street to a different restaurant 3 or 4 in. It looked okay so we took the table. The menu we were first shown by this waiter seemed different than the one we were given once seated. We were then asked what we wanted to drink “Red or white wine” but not initially given a wine menu but after asking one was provided. I choose and specifically pointed to the second red wine on the list I think it was (Bora) but definitely at 11.75 euros. The wine waiter brought a Bora Reserve which was a nice red wine but we later found out it was 22 euros not the expected 11.75. When we got the bill, which was 20 euros more than expected, I first questioned a 10 euro couvert? charge and was told this was service charge and when I then queried the difference in the red wine price on the bill he brought out what looked like a different wine list and said the 11.75 was a white wine. I told him I had pointed to the 11.75 red wine but he insisted the red was 22 euros. I said if I had pointed to a white wine he should have told me that, not just bring a different more expensive red he just walked away after saying “That’s not my problem” which I thought was really rude. The food was not bad but his attitude ruined the evening, hence just one star

Avoid.... RIP OFF... SCAM.. restaurant.. Just ate here they just added on extras on bill. Bread and cheese they brought to table without asking which everyone thought was complimentary added 10 euros. Another 5 to 6 euros for service. Everything over priced portio of chips we thought 2.90 turned out to be 5 euros. They argued back as well. Dont go here they are ripping of tourists.

Food is very bad the oil in which they fry food is very old and the steak very greasy with lots of fat only the salad is very good and fresh

The overall experience was very bad for the amount of money we paid. The waiter said the restaurant is his family business and he just approaches people on the street to convince them to eat there so we decided to give it a try. We ordered octopus and tuna. I cannot even describe how the food was. The tuna steak had a very weird color and taste so we couldn’t even eat the food. When the waiter took the plates he didn’t even ask why we didn’t eat. Probably he already knew the answer. For tourists it is very easy to fall for this and to eat here because of the location but I wouldn’t recommend this. For the same amount of money we could have eat in a very good rated restaurant.

Had an amazing lunch. Fresh grilled fish with lots of veggies and potatoes. We also had a bottle of nice white wine from Douro. Luis also served us a complimentary port. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food.

For me very good ..tried few dishes and all very good or good.. u do have to pay extra for starters which they put on the table at the beginning. Usually they say u pay for everything u eat ..this is common for restaurants here. Staff lovely helping.. food very good ..and cheap For this area. I even got free chips fries when he saw I liked them.. usually paying around 30 eur for meal for 2 and drinks. Plus the starters.
