★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're ever nearby, check out this place. One pastel de nada with coffe JUST 1 €. And the pastries are soo good. I'd go there everyday. Plus the clerks speak english.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really like this place and think it's a great business model. They offer quality fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses + selection of essentials like tinned goods. In barbeque season they also have a creative selection of burgers and meat skewers. Small but interesting selection of wines and liquors. I usually buy fruit and veg there because the quality is better and price is competitive. Then there's the cafe that serves food that I assume is prepared from their own supplies. I think that helps them to keep the prices really accessible and reduce waste by using what they have to make things for the cafe. At 7pm until closing the cafe offers some of their perishable things buy 1 get one free. Again a great waste reducing initiative. I usually get the breakfast menu, fruit salad or a vegetarian burger. Haven't found better quality price ratio. They have another one with a larger food market section but smaller cafe near Rossio called mercado da figueira. Love them both
