 Mercadona de Abelheira / Viana do Castelo … one of the Mercadona of more than 20 stores in Portugal. Large store with food, beverage, personal care, home care and pet care department. It has large parking and very good access … I recommend it has quality price!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, it's not been open long so perhaps they've not sorted out their stock system yet but compared to the Store in Tui, it was lacking many basic things such as cartoned soup, fresh milk and various other basic things.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love Mercadona because it offers a lot of food products free from dyes, preservatives and other weird "E"-named chemicals. In Portugal it is very difficult to find food free from "E"s: those beautiful egg pastries always contain E102 or E110 dyes, and even plain bread contains at least three "E"-chemicals!
