★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bare minimum is available, since it's small it doesn't have the myriad choice of brands big supermarkets have but what it does have is good. Freshly made bread, good choice of meats and fish.
Friendly and polite staff.
Prices accordingly.
People may say it's expensive but when you can walk there or drive only 1Km it beats going to the nearest big supermarket.
And it's so small you don't have to walk hundreds of meters to go get a few things.

Mercearia d’Aldeia stocks some delightful gourmet products, has a reasonably stocked wine and beer selection, butcher with top-quality meat including a scrumptious & juicy “boerewors” (South African style sausage), a bakery, cheese and cold meat counter, and fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect shop. I found everything I wanted there. Fresh fruits, meat and various dairy. But you might expect to see higher prices then let’s say in Lidl. I compared after: prices are twice higher. But for local shop it’s ok, I guess. If you want to save some money, go to Lidl
