And you can notice...
The staff was transferred to other supermarkets, which means everyone is brand new to the place.
There's rarely more than one person working as a cashier, which translates to massive queues where there's no space for queues (I believe they have higher priorities than keeping their customers safe regarding a record breaking particular period in this pandemic)...
If you go there at 5 pm (when I usually go, after work but still before rush hour) you'll find a scenario where more than half of their own-brand products are out of stock.
Cheap beer of their own brand? Out of stock.
Products on special offer, discount or promotion? Out of stock.
You ask for help? They're usually busy, not because they're lazy (nope, you have really hardworking and nice people doing as much as they can...) but because this is a seriously understaffed place.
You'd expect such a big chain as minipreço to have some sort of requirements or demands for the people who acquire their franchise.
Apparently, no. All you need to do is pay.
When you compare the previous minipreço with the current one? Pffff ten worlds apart... I live nearby and this was my go to place every single day for those quick groceries before entering my place...
Now I walk ten extra minutes.
I go somewhere else.
