★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whole hotel is managed by one man and it's definitely impressive. He is very helpful and kind. But rooms need to be restored. It's like two star hotel, nothing more. Enough for one night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is located near the station and walking distance to the university. It's a modest hotel with a helpful staff. A continental breakfast is included. Ask for the fruit if it's not on your table. The host will bring out a bowl of seasonal choices. The hotel is cash only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For the price it is absolutely top-notch. The location is central. The lift (or elevator) is brand new. The room I had wasn't exactly new, especially the shower, but it was comfortable and very clean. Despite the furniture being a bit dated, the bed was very comfortable; air conditioning and hot water were working perfectly. The manager is very helpful and will serve you a very good breakfast (included in the price!) at your table. You will even have 24h reception desk -- I always saw the manager there, kind and helpful at all times (whether he sleeps at all remains a mystery). Definitely a must if you stay in central Coimbra.
