Estes moinhos estão abandonados, há tempos e encontram-se, emparedados. Recordo-me de visitar o seu interior antes de as portas serem fechadas. Já não existe o mecanismo de moagem há muito. Em caminho há um trilho de vai dar há Quinta do Bonjardim. O moinho de vento tipo mediterrânico, grupo ao qual pertence a maioria dos moinhos de vento portugueses, tomou uma forma particular, distinta da do norte da Europa. De menor dimensão, são, geralmente, compostos por uma estrutura cilíndrica construída em pedra, com cúpula cónica de madeira (denominada capelo) e um número variável de velas de pano cuja origem se pode associar ao velame das embarcações.
