★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A total life changer... I completed the 10day juice fast and yoga detox a few days ago and I feel amazing. This retreat is not for the faint hearted but the wonderful Moinhos Velhos with its beautiful grounds, location and facilities is the perfect base to take on such an intense retreat of this type. Which leads me onto the staff, who were always smiling and there for what ever support you need. I am a 500hrs trained yoga teacher and I thought the yoga classes were top standard. Moinhos Velhos is not a super slick 5star resort neither is it a bohemian hippy style retreat... It is the perfect balance between the two helping you find that perfect balance in yourself. I am hoping to make a fast at Moinhos Velhos an annual treat for my mind, body and soul. I would recommend Moinhos Velhos and the detox programme to anyone, it's just a really good thing to do for yourself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Moinhos Velhos is a beautiful, peaceful place that offers juice fasting retreats. I normally come here twice a year. The secluded valley offers tranquility and a relaxing atmosphere that supports the rest and detox. A beautiful garden is surrounding the old buildings, the small houses where guests are quartered. The pool is a salt water pool and every evening you can enjoy the sauna. Yoga and meditation is offered every day. I love this place and highly recommend it.

From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome and you know you are in good hands. Chris, Anna and Karen are so kind and caring yoga teachers. Trish is so fun doing the Biodanza and left us all out of breath :)
I think this place attracts positive, open minded and successful people.
The week went by very quick and it feels that without too much effect but strong will I’m going home 2.5 kg lighter, very relaxed, calm and optimistic ??
Looking forward to coming back to this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Without writing an essay... This place is absolutely incredible. A very special & sacred place to heal, transform & detoxify. The staff are incredibly attentive and the program is super comprehensive. As a Holistic Nutritionist myself, I was so incredibly impressed with this program in every single way. I plan to return every single year with as many people as I can convince to come with me. Never had I ever been able to achieve on my own what I was able to achieve in a single week here. This is an experience that needs to be felt for itself as words just simply don't do justice. I don't know a single person who wouldn't benefit from this holistic detox experience. Thank You Moinhos - I will be back!

I cannot even do one day on my own - but with their very delicious and always made from scratch juices and broths, guidance, education, optional treatments, comfortable housing and nature to walk in - I made it through the entire week without cheating! I also managed to come off of coffee and feel inspired to go home and make some more dietary upgrades❣️
