★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried food at this vendor in timeout market in Lisboa and was very disappointed in their food. Food was salty and not fresh. Service was average. No overly friendly. Price is what you would get at a restaurant, but you sacrificed the quality for sure. Yes I would recommend the TIMEOUT market, but not this vendor

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of my favorite restaurants with Oceanside seating. The food was incredible! The octopus salad and the main entree are a must have. Also the buttered toast is everything you need. The oysters were very fresh and all fish dishes were fantastic. My only concern was the service. The waiters were so unenthusiastic and seemed like they didn't care. For an amazing place like this, they need super engaged staff to take this place to 5 ⭐!

I knew Monte Mar in Cascais very well for the quality of the fish, the peaceful atmosphere and impeccable service, so I decided to try the one in Lisbon, but it is frankly bad in almost every aspect: the fish is from aquaculture, but it is charged at an exorbitant price (not even fresh fish caught at sea is charged at these prices in other restaurants); the atmosphere is that of an authentic kindergarten with screaming children everywhere (and it even has a children's room…). Only positive note goes to the friendliness and professionalism of the employees.
If you are looking for a quiet environment to eat good fresh fish in Lisbon, this is a bad choice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was a bit nervous to eat here alone, after the mixed reviews. But I was wrong, I received the warmest welcome, given a perfect table by the ocean and not rushed. The staff are polite and relaxed, my starter of octopus salad was generous, it needed more vinegar but with toast was spot on. The hake is fresh and flaky, the rice with cockles is nice but not noteable, the sunset however is one of the best I have ever seen.
Fully recommend, calm, courteous and great tasting food with a view.
