★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mais uma daquelas 'coisas' que ficam 'bem' em qualquer parte, menos no sítio onde as plantaram. A ideia de evocar, na zona do castelo, o Fundador da vila de Marvão, até é interessante... embora nunca por ali se tenha travado qualquer combate. Mas aquela 'bolacha' cor de rosa com furos no topo de um pedestal junto às nobre e históricas muralhas, parece 'um pouco' desenquadrada da envolvente. A menos que a ideia seja, apenas, chocar, e não invocar...
Sou muito inculto, e com falta de gosto, já sei. Deixem lá...
 Another one of those 'things' that stay 'well' anywhere, except where they were planted. The idea of evoking the founder of the village of Marvão in the castle zone is interesting ... although there has never been a fight there. But that pink 'cracker' with holes in the top of a pedestal next to the noble and historic walls, seems 'a little' out of the envelope. Unless the idea is just to shock, not to invoke ...
I am very uncultured, and lacking in taste, I know. Leave it there ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A monument by Cutileiro to Ibn Marwân (‘Abd al Rahmân Ibn Marwân ibn Yūnus), a 9th century military leader that founded Marvão and ruled over Badajoz, after rebelling against the Emir of Córdova. It's cool they've placed this here as an hommage to the man, and as a historical reference.
