It does not seem but it is very large and stands out from the rest. Near the tower of Bethlehem and the Jeronimos monastery. Very nice view.

Mit kühnem Schwung hochaufragend erinnert es an den Bug einer Karavelle, mit der diese Seefahrernation einst die neue Welt, insbesondere Brasilien, eroberte. Reich versehen mit überlebensgroßen Steinskulpturen zeigen die beidseitigen Reliefs portugiesische Seefahrer, Entdecker und wichtige historische Persönlichkeiten.

The monument on the Tagus is free and visible from afar, not far from the Torre de Belem. With a bold sweep, it resembles the bow of a caravel with which this seafaring nation once conquered the new world, particularly Brazil. Richly decorated with larger-than-life stone sculptures, the two-sided reliefs depict Portuguese seafarers, explorers and important historical figures.
An impressive and remarkable monument in dazzling white.
