Firstly the staff were great, the waiter and waitress who attended our table were really friendly, chatted with the kids and made them laugh, were really attentive and brought drinks etc really fast. 10 out of 10 for the two of them, they were fantastic. The food was not so great unfortunately. The kids did enjoy their pasta and burger, the portions were huge and they couldn't finish either of them. They're only 7 so an older kid ordering off the kids menu probably wouldn't struggle to polish them off. If you have younger kids maybe ask them to portion appropriately! However the adult food was all kinds of confused. Firstly our sides for our main course, of potatoes, came to the table at the same time as the kids main courses. About 25 minutes before our mains were served. We were one of two families dining at the time so it wasn't busy. The potatoes also came wrapped in a checkered flag napkin in a shiny deep tin, and looked like they came from an American diner or Little Chef, rather than from this more posh looking restaurant. My wife had a chicken dish which came with both a cheese and a curry sauce. Either would have been great on their own, but together it was just odd. I opted for the steak, which was well cooked at medium rare, but quite cold, like it'd been sat out resting for the best part of an hour. Also about 25% of the steak was big chunks of unrendered fat, so completely inedible. Not to mention our side dishes were room temperature by the time we were eating our main. For the price of the food I don't think we'll be going back.
