O pessoal em especial o senhor que faz as visitas guiadas foi inexcedivel. Vale a pena mas estaca a espera de uma coleccao mais imponente. I was waiting too long to tell the truth. The exhibition is short but beautiful..julgo that in museological terms can and should be improved. The staff, especially the gentleman who makes the guided tours, was unbeatable. It is worth it but it is waiting for a more imposing collection.

No tocante a obras de bordado, esperava poder ver não só o espolio de colchas antigas, mas também as colchas feitas pela senhora Augusta Valente e que estão em depósito. Os funcionários foram impecáveis e atenciosos, mas pecam os superiores do museu, pela má gestão do espólio e das peças que deveriam estar expostas. The building of the Episcopal Palace is a unique work of imposing beauty. As far as embroidery works, I hoped to see not only the spruce of old quilts, but also the quilts made by Mrs. Augusta Valente and which are in storage. The staff were impeccable and attentive, but the superiors of the museum sinned, the poor management of the estate and the pieces that should have been exposed.

Le lieu manque de fleur et de table pour permettre la convivialité. Dommage de voir un tel espace qui ressemble à une rentrée de cimetière. The place is historically majestic. The first part of the museum exhibits the archeological excavations which dates back to the 16th century. The rest of the exhibition is mainly dedicated to the examples of embroidery created in Castelo Branco, including carpets, dresses and other types of artifacts. In a few of the rooms there are paintings with religious themes as well as the portraits of bishops. The staff were super friendly and would gladly explain any question about the museum, if asked. Opening time: Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Entrance: €3, and for students and seniors €1.5
