★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really liked Obidos because I felt like I was living in the middle age. Was really nice to see but for the best part you have to pay and that's why I just give 4 stars and not 5.

J'ai bien aimé obidos car je me suis senti comme dans le moyen âge. C'était vraiment intéressant à voir le seul truc qui m'a dérangée était qu'on devait payer pour la meilleure partie du village.

Mir gefiel Obdios sehr gut, man hat dich bisschen wie im Mittelalter gefühlt. Ich fand es sehr interessant alles zu sehen, der einzige negative Punkt ist, dass man für einen Teil der Stadt bezahlen muss.

I liked Obdios very well, you felt a bit like in the Middle Ages. I found it very interesting to see everything, the only negative is that you have to pay for part of the city.

Currently (June 2017) with the exhibition focused on the painter Josefa D'Óbidos - the "Flores de Josefa". You can also visit a room dedicated to the historical chronology of Óbidos with a display of some archaeological artefacts, and another dedicated to the last owner of the Manor that is today the Museum - the painter Eduardo Malta (portraitist). ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Museu municipal muito bem localizado, no centro da vila, num espaço muito bonito que lembra um antigo palácio. O staff é simpático, e as obras expostas valem a pena a visita - destacam-se pinturas da famosa pintora Josefa d'Óbidos, e arte sacra. Altamente recomendável
Municipal museum very well located, in the center of the village, in a very beautiful space reminiscent of an old palace. The staff is friendly, and the works on display are worth the visit - outstanding paintings by the famous painter Josefa d'Óbidos, and sacred art. Highly recommended

I don't know much about Portuguese history, and the exhibition in the museum cannot explain it in depth. The service staff is kind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Óbidos es una villa medieval amurallada, en la cual el visitante es invitado a perderse por el laberinto de sus calles estrechas bordeadas de bonitas casas e iglesias, y a retroceder en el tiempo.
El museo exhibe arte sacro, incluyendo obras de escultura y pintura, y posee un lienzo firmado por la famosa pintora Josefa d´Óbidos (1630-1684).
Presenta además una valiosa colección de armas francesas e inglesas de la Guerra Peninsular, mobiliario barroco, restos arquitectónicos y arqueología romana.
Óbidos is a medieval walled town, in which the visitor is invited to get lost in the labyrinth of its narrow streets lined with beautiful houses and churches, and to go back in time.
The museum exhibits sacred art, including works of sculpture and painting, and has a canvas signed by the famous painter Josefa d´Óbidos (1630-1684).
It also presents a valuable collection of French and English weapons from the Peninsular War, Baroque furniture, architectural remains and Roman archeology.
