★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This should be called The Ricardo do Espirito Santo Silva Collection. It's a hodge-podge of furniture poorly placed in beautiful rooms, some with hand painted ceilings. It was probably a beautiful elegant home back in the day with spectacular views of the ocean. But the poor placement of the furniture and the weird mixture of styles is unimpressive. €4

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a wonderful experience. We first saw the furniture collection which was pretty interesting. We then were invited to go next door to a workshop that blew my mind :) I highly recommend the experience. A unique workshop done with a passion for the craft.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little Museum of Portoguise Art and Furniture.
It has to be said that this was build out of a private collection- so it is not exactly build up like a museum - more like what the former collector liked.
Entrance is 4,-€ and a20% discount if you have a Lisabon Card.
The collection has some nice pieces of furniture and art and it is shown in a nice old house.
A complete tour might take you 45 minutes.
Why only 4 stars - somehow a clear storyline between the rooms is missing and not all exhibits have a sign explaining the age or the origin - if they have the text is. Wry helpful.
If you are interested in 1600 - 1800 furniture and art this is a place to visit.
