 Simple and fast service. Tasty food. Excellent trout stuffed with ham, as well as the biscuit cake, nothing like the usual, very good.

Empty restaurant with no Customers and no tables set, dinner was not served for 5 people as we had no prior appointment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordering was a little tricky at first when presented with a menu not in English, but the waiter was more than happy to point us in the right direction. We had some delicious Portuguese dishes such as the crispy cod fish cakes on rice, the beef and potato casserole, and some surprisingly tasty braised cabbage on the side. However the real star of the show was their famous wafer cake. Despite being so full we had to make room for this sweet creamy layered dessert and happily rolled ourselves home afterwards.
Although this place does not look like much from the outside, inside even us nosy tourists we were welcomed in like family entering their home. If you’re passing through this tiny town and are looking for a hearty meal, be sure not to miss this place!
