The spring is cold, but very refreshing when it's a hot summer day

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited in March. All closed up except a small kiosk selling ice-cream. Unfortunately there was no water and it needs a lot of clearing of weeds and debris.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely awesome... Great atmosphere and no trouble at all.
There are cafes and bars in the vicinity, and the whole town is also worth exploring.
Would recommend however to bring some water shoes, since you might slip going in or out of the water, and is just more comfortable when standing in the canal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To me the original well, displayed as a historical photo, had a great natural beauty. Today the place has been commercially transformed (too many walls and platforms for my taste). Also because of the damming the well water turned green with algae.
Yet I believe it is still a good starting point for an upstream hike.
