Our first Sunday lunch and definitely not the last. Party of 8 and all happy, happy. Thank you.

A group of 21 went there for a Christmas lunch. Cannot fault the food, service good in view of the size of our group, plus that there were about a dozen other people there. Well worth the journey from Albufeira.

If you want very very good food at a reasonable price, this is the place to go to. Excellent!!! Still the best restaurant for miles, Nick and Sam can do no wrong

A little gem. Spacious restaurant and car park with indoor and terrace seating, serving quality dishes that cater for the ex pats. Friendly staff that go the extra mile for you. It’s a winning combination. Highly recommended.

There with friends for a mid-afternoon lunch, and was surprised and pleased to have another good restaurant in our little area. My friend's sausage and browned onion jam sandwich was the clear winner, with the best sweet potato fries I've had this side of the States. My beef and mushroom pie had a very tasty filling, with nicely trimmed and browned beef and obviously well-browned mushrooms, which made for a great gravy. The crust, however, was thick and tasted like baking powder. It was difficult to tell if the chef was trying to go for a laminated crust - or a puff pastry top - hence the thickness - or a sort of biscuit topping. The fries and vegetables were perfectly prepared! So other than the crust of the pie, all of the food served was quite good. The music became a distraction when the short loop of songs being played came on for the fourth time in the hour we were there. It was a beautiful afternoon, yet the ambiance was not relaxing, and as such, it wasn't a fun eating experience. That was disappointing.

First class food, service, ambience. Well worth the 15 mins car/taxi drive from the Olhos d'agua, Patã de Baixo area.

We've been there 5 times now, including twice for Sunday lunch. Both food and service excellent every time. Nice rustic feel and good ambience. If you're going for Sunday lunch make sure you book well in advance as it's very popular.
