B	Brian Eck on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food at Restaurante O Lusitano was so good that my wife and I have eaten there twice in one week! The food is elegantly prepared and very delicious. My wife had the "Bacalhau A Lusitano", which is a fried cod fish with peppers and thinly sliced, crisp fried potato. I had the "Tamboril Salteado com Gambas e Alcaparras" which is a Monkfish sauteed with Prawns and capers, served in a sauce with thinly sliced, crisp sweet potato. The service is excellent and the price is very reasonable. We will definitely be there a third time before we go back to the U.S.

Don’t believe fake tripadvisor reviews that place this wonderful restaurant around the 45 mark and every two bob Indian takeaway in the top ten, 6 last time I counted!!! Also number 1 on those reviews are a two for £12 restaurant, a bit like Wetherspoons in the U.K., so judge trip advisor reviews at your peril!! Ive been coming to albufeira for many, many years now and have eaten at almost every restaurant in town, now you have to judge a restaurant on its consistent standards. 1. Service - Second to NO other restaurant in albufeira, it’s never once changed from the highest of standards, Pedro and team are outstanding. 2. Hygiene - We judge this on the toilets, you could could literally eat your dinner in there, spotless!! 3. Quality - even during this covid pandemic the restaurant hasn’t let the quality drop even one percent, the quality of food is top notch! 4. Food - For typical Portuguese food there is no restaurant anywhere near as good as o’Lusitanos, We’ve literally had everything on the menu(which changes) and never once have we been disappointed. From the starters to desert everything is lovely, the sausage, mushroom, prawn starters are fabulous, but the highlight for me is either the Portuguese or lusitano steak ? Out of this world. You simply couldn’t spend your hard earned money anywhere better, Pedro and team are the best.

Beautiful restaurant, its not a fast food restaurant, its a restaurant to savour the ambience and the food, Pedro and his team come up with Amazing culinary delights, every meal we have had has been out of this world, beautifully presented, and the taste is incredible, a symphony on the taste buds.

The food is second to none in albufeira, you won’t get English garbage food here just perfectly cooked Portuguese food presented beautifully. Lots to choose from from fresh fish to the delightful Portuguese steak ? the wine ? list is extremely big with some fantastic choices. What wins for me is the service, totally not rushed, time to breathe after your courses, Pedro and team are fantastic.
