★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A smal and cozy reataurant for locals. But tourists are always welcomed. Staff is very friendly. The food is tasty and the prices are good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had read the reviews and decided to give it a try. It was packed out when we arrived other than a tiny table by the door. So glad we didn’t walk away as the food and service were both excellent possibly the friendliest place ever.
We both had sea bream with vegetables accompanied by a 1/2 carafe of vino verde blanco and followed by a delicious orange pudding and coffee all for less than 30 euros. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really solid, unpretentious, home made food. Guessing it is a family run business with mum cooking out the back and dad at the bar.
Great level of English spoken and a menu is also available in English (luckily for us!)
We had a fish dish and a squid dish as well as a couple of desserts. The fish ans squid were grilled and well cooked, nothing fancy but tasted great.
All the menu is priced incredibly cheap. We had the green sparkling wine and it was quite nice. 2 course meal with 1L of sparkling wine for around 25€.
Fairly quiet place located in an alley away from the main tourist trap looking restaurants along the main pedestrian street.
Would 100% recommend for a meal if you're not feeling like anything fancy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was looking for a place that had typical Portuguese food, and where my partner could also eat (he's vegetarian), and we found this little gem tucked in an alleyway near Rossio Square. Tasty, homemade food, fast service, staff spoke a variety of languages (we managed in very basic Portuguese but I heard them speak English and Italian). We had the soup of the day as a starter, the bacalhau assado and the vegetarian dish (alheira sausage with egg and chips) and biscuit tart and flan for dessert. With wine it came up to 25,20€, an absolute steal. Place was packed and for good reason! Will recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional Portuguese restaurant. Does not allow for reservations, “first come, first server”. The staff was so profesional and so attentive and the meals were of a very high standard. Competitively priced. 100% recommended. In the picture grilled Cod with olive oil, garlic and boiled potatos.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very tasty typical Portuguese food at very reasonable prices (we both had a three course meal with wine for 25€).
Fast service even though the place was packed (small wonder!).
Menu has vegetarian options (I was not disappointed by the Alheira -vegetarian sausage- with egg and fries).
It's basically a crime not to ask for soup for starters (1,30€) or flan for dessert (1,95€).
Couldn't recommend it more.
