Caldeirada de Bacalhau

Ingredientes: 1.200kg lombinhos de bacalhau (200g cada), 1.5kg batatas de cozer, 300g cebolas, 3 dentes de alho, 2dl azeite, 500g tomates bem maduros, 1dl vinho branco, 1 pimento verde, 1 pimento vermelho, 1 molhinho de coentros, QB sal, pimenta e picante Preparação: Cortam-se as cebolas às meias-luas finas e laminam-se os alhos, levam-se ao lume num tacho largo até a cebola ficar mole. Junta-se o tomate e o louro e deixa-se cozinhar um pouco. Junta-se o vinho branco e as batatas às rodelas grossas, acrescentam-se os pimentos em tiras. Tempera-se de sal e pimenta, tapa-se o tacho e deixa-se cozinhar lentamente. Depois de cozinhadas as batatas, coloca-se por cima os lombos de bacalhau a cozinhar mais 5 minutos, com o tacho bem tapado. Se estiver com pouco molho junta-se um copo de água antes de colocar o bacalhau. Depois de pronto, serve-se um lombo de bacalhau por pessoa e polvilha-se o prato com coentros picados.

It's a classic upscale portuguese food restaurant. And it keeps justifying its fame. Highly recommended. Excellent service, food and decor. The menu is difficult because one wants to try everything....

Very nice restaurant, the chef was out for lunch but the sous chefs were great, too. The husband and chef de service is a nice and friendly guy. Quite packed and busy, but food was great. Recommended. We come back

Nice and careful service, atmosphere. Beef was so soft and delicious. Feels like the quality of every food was so high. The soup and curry risotto was a bit salty for me though.

Really amazing food, the best I've had in Portugal. but VERY expensive, the bill was 84 euros just for me, (starters, main, dessert and a glass of wine) if you feel like treating yourself I think it's worth it for guaranteed quality, cheaper places in Lisbon with 4 stars average can be quite bad

A very good restaurant, just behind the arena where they have corrida shows ( the Portuguese do that on horseback instead of on foot like they do in Spain, and they don't kill the bull). The menu is interesting and you can enjoy some specialties of the cuisine of northern Portugal. Very tasty appetizers, delicate and flavoursome soup of Atlantic spider crab! Great fish and seafood, offered in different styles. Most dishes contain ail, some are spicy hot. The house wine is more than honourable, do try their Port wine with your dessert.
