★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kind service from Hugo(!). We sat on the terrace w our dog and had a nice broiled fish and steak in pepper sauce. Ate the tasty fresh cheese and scrumptious olives, washed down w thirst-quenchimg vinho verde. A wonderful meal compared with the feeble, pricey lunch we had earlier in the day in Lisbon (where we could barely hear each other over the British stag group, may they burn in hell!).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want to eat here better read the menu real careful. In my case the Greek salad had nothing to do with the original recipe.
When I didn't want to eat it, the waiter said I should have read the menu description, and then wrapped the salad to take away and billed it.
If the chef has no idea what a Greek salad is, I would be very careful trusting his professional ability. Making a client pay for something he didn't order is arrogant and shameful

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been visiting O Pao since it first opened. The staff are friendly and the food has always been good. Last week we went for lunch, but it felt different. We didn't feel as comfortable as we usually do. We ordered bread and pate for starter to share, and some drinks. The bread arrived very quickly, but within minutes our main was on the table also. We felt rushed and it spoiled our lunch. My husband left most of his because the way the food was almost thrown at us put him off. It was a definite 'get them in and get them' out feeling. I know we are not local, maybe this is why our custom is not as valued; but social media today stretches world wide. And anyway in hospitality all customers should be treated equally.
