★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cant comment on the full meal experience, but i enjoyed a glass of vino verde with mini deep fried sardines on a cold autumn day and it was wonderful hearing the market come to life around me. Cheap, family owned, unpretentious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible seafood spot open for lunch only in the middle of the Mercado Bolhao. Very busy, wait for the man-in-charge to put your name down. We waited around 15 mins for a table. Loved the sardines, bacalhau and squid. The octopus looked delicious but was sold out! Less than €25 for two starters, two mains, a beer and a coke. Fantastic value. Open til 3pm (on a Thursday at least)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great, honest local food at very decent prices! A rather wide choice of meals, all freshly prepared in the kitchen which may take some time, but it's well worth the wait. Make sure to come early to safe your space and ignore the antiseptic atmosphere of the entire interim market. Very friendly service from the ladies. A great place where locals and visitors mix very well.
