★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow. Great spot if you get a table. We got there at the opening and got lucky without a reservation. There were maybe six tables. The food and wine was amazing and some of the best on our trip through Portugal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was amazing with the most flavorsome food, welcoming friendly staff and great prices versus quality you get plus entertainment. We are already planning our day trip to Évora just to visit Vasco! Bare in mind it is a small place and getting table is not easy and you have to book. I saw some people got upset about it. Trust me it’s so worth and it’s a little hidden treasure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eating at O Templo was a unique and memorable experience! We arrived before it opened at 7 since we did not have reservations. So we had the restaurant to ourselves to enjoy Vasco (the owner) and his informative and entertaining "sales pitch" for the different menu items. He is certainly the most animated restaurant owner we've ever experienced! And his enthusiasm is supported by the quality of the food and the flavors of the cooking. The watercress soup and mushroom salad were our appetizers, both outstanding. Our main course was the black pork cheeks, marinated overnight, extremely tender with a delicious sauce. It came with a watercress and orange salad that was very fresh and delicious. The pork cheeks are so tender they simply fall apart, and each bite just about melts in your mouth.
Vasco carries a very good selection of wines. Last but not least, the prices are amazingly inexpensive for this caliber of ingredients and attention to the details of flavor and presentation by the kitchen. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant is a very informal environment with a very enthusiastic owner who enjoys talking to you about how the dishes are prepared and how they taste. The ingredients are top notch and fresh. Each bite sent us to heaven to speak with St Peter and back again. Make sure you get a reservation as the quality here is no secret.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was fantastic! We had local bread and local olive oil, the cheeks and the lamb. The dark chocolate mousse was amazing but what really sold us was Vasco, our server. He made the memory. The food was a cherry on top!
