★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was our first night out in Portugal and it made the day! We loved the food and the atmosphere of this cozy restaurant. Super friendly and helpful waiters, that work hard to satisfy the guests! This restaurant offers a lot of freahly caught fish from the nearby harbor and also some meat or vegetarian dishes. You definitely get what you pay for and I'd say a little more! You should definitely check this place out but don't forget to book a table, it's really crowded!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ate here on our last night. Saved the best until last. Excellent food and excellent staff. It’s a beautiful authentic restaurant on a lovely street. This food and setting is much better than the generic restaurants in the main square nearby.

Whilst the mixed meat was well cooked, the chips were nothing special and there was no salad or vegetables on offer which is unusual in Portuguese restaurants in the area. Service was okay without being exceptional and overall it was an average experience and I’m surprised at the number of 5 star reviews.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a restaurant that I include on my annual vacation to the Algarve.
As with most restaurants along the Algarve it is a simple grill house, here they do it really well.
The host is always great and friendly even at the busiest of times. The ingredients are of a good quality and the portions are generous. The menu goes that little bit further than just grilling the meat. I thoroughly (and responsibly) enjoy the Portuguese wine.
Of course, if you can, sit outside in the quaint narrow street.
You will have a great evening here.

An authentic eatery which i return to each time im lucky enough to be in town.Prawns n Monkfish on a skewer with the extras in my go to,never fails,top notch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a nice meal at this restaurant. Service was friendly. I wanted to try piri-piri chicken which the Algarve is famous for, but I got grilled chicken which wasn’t special or piri-piri. (I later discovered that there’s some general confusion online over the translation of ‘frango assado’; the English menu should call it ‘Grilled chicken’ not ‘Piri-Piri chicken’.)
Overall the food was very good though. The restaurant got very busy afterwards and service became very slow. We asked for tap water early on, which didn’t come. I’m willing to put these issues down to Covid disruption to the tourist numbers.
