★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Altstadt von Lagos ist ein Muss für jeden Algarve Urlauber. Unendlich viel Geschäfte und Restaurants werden hier geboten. Wunderschön das bunte Pflaster, welches sich praktisch durch die gesamte Altstadt zieht. Wie überall in Portugal, so gehören auch hier, div. Kirchen zur Altstadt, die aber nicht ständig geöffnet sind. Ebenso sieht man eine Festung und ein historisches Stadttor.
 The old town of Lagos is a must for every Algarve vacationer. Endless shops and restaurants are offered here. The colorful pavement that runs through practically the entire old town is beautiful. As everywhere in Portugal, there are also various churches in the old town, but they are not open all the time. You can also see a fortress and a historic city gate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Am 16.03.2022 hat Sahara Staub auf seinem Umweg nach Südamerika Lagos erreicht. Von der Sonne war den ganzen Tag nichts zu sehen, ein seltsamer rot-gelblicher Schleier legte sich über den Himmel, das Meer und die Stadt und beraubte sie ihrer natürlichen Farben. Vögel wurden unruhig, Autos schmutzig und Menschen leise.
Die zu jeder Jahreszeit und jedem Wetter sehenswerte Altstadt erschien wahrlich im neuen Licht. Am Ende des getrübten Tages war ich froh, den hier verbracht zu haben. Die am Tag gemachten Fotos wurden nicht bearbeitet, die Natur selbst hat sie so gefärbt, als wäre es Sepia von sehr alten Bildern der uralten Stadt.
On March 16, 2022, Sahara Staub reached Lagos on its way to South America. There was no sign of the sun all day, a strange red-yellowish veil covered the sky, the sea and the city and robbed them of their natural colors. Birds got restless, cars got dirty and people got quiet.
The old town, which is worth seeing at any time of the year and in any weather, really appeared in a new light. At the end of the dull day I was glad to have spent it here. The photos taken during the day were not processed, nature itself colored them as if they were sepia from very old pictures of the ancient city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've traveled a lot through Europe but I have to say that this hostel and the experience we had in it with my friend definitely qualifies as in the top 3 best holiday experiences! Don't even hesitate! The location is perfect, the staff is AMAZING and the vibes are incredible... The only thing we regretted was not staying more.
