★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited Ozyra Guest house last October and I have to say this was one of the best memory we have from Portugal. My friend and I were impressed by the garden and loved the old architecture of the house from the outside. Inside, everything was newly renovated. But what made this stay pleasant was not just the house and rooms, but the warm hospitality of Luis and Henrique. They will go extra miles to help you enjoy Portugal. Also, breakfast here is super delicious. This place is actually the one of the reason I want to visit Portugal again. Stay here!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice and clean B&B, it is beautifully renovated, good choice when driving to Coimbra with a car and don't want to deal with parking issues. Far from major tourist attractions. The hosts (owners and workers) were very friendly, we loved it.

This is a turn-of-the-century house that was entirely remodeled and redesigned to fit modern-day tastes, all the while keeping lots of vintage elements that are part of its history. Also, there are over 1000 rooster statuettes, which I found pretty cool. Make sure to walk all the way down the orchard to visit the two friendly horses. If you feed them an apple, they'll give you friendly nose bumps.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all I like that Oryza Guest House is localized very close to Coimbra, a city that was on my bucket list for a while now, ever since I’ve seen some beautiful pictures on Pinterest of it. But I loved that it wasn’t in the city, far from the crowds, really remote. The house was built in 1918 and it is called Oryza as before it used to be a place where people were cultivating rice. The owners managed to keep the vintage aspect of the house and even some of the original wood floors and old pieces of furniture.
Second, but actually the most important part for me was the yard they’ve had there. It was so beautiful and peaceful and for me looked like the perfect wedding venue. I loved the pool area with the outdoor bed that on the other side had some beautifully painted ceramic tiles, the orange trees and the vegetable garden they’ve had in the back were also amazing. The place gave me such a feeling of tranquility and it was a pleasure to return to this oasis after a day of wandering in the areas nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would say nothing went wrong, we enjoyed a relaxing break and had all needed to the purpose: a silent and comfortable room, nice cable TV, a small pool to refesh, an outdoor area with animals and a vegetable garden.
The space is nicely refurbished and clean.
The breakfast is fresh and delicious.
It is located just 10 mins drive from Coimbra downtown and far from crowded places (good to me).
So, leaving without any disappointment nor disruption I have to rate it 5 stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner inherit the place and renovated it into a nice B&B. My young daughters loved the chickens and garden in th backyard. And th breakfast was very very good. The location is the low point: too far to walk to the center of Coimbra. You can hear a lot of the action in the other rooms and corridor (old house) and there is no sidewalk at the entrance (careful with traffic!), but if you have a car and are looking for a B&B with lots of character, this is a good one in Coimbra.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an absolutely lovely time I had here. The rooms are prestine, very comfortable and spacious.
The property is charming. You can pick fruit and vegetables from their garden; enjoy their cozy library or take a dip in their cute pool.
Luis was always available and making sure all was taken care of. We were impressed by all the attention to detail.
Breakfast is fresh, simple and delicious.
They have around 5 rooms so it's also an amazing place to rent out completely for a small wedding or a weekend getaway with friends and family.
I'll definitely be back.
