Really charming old Manor house with beautiful surrounding English and French gardens plus many other amenities (cheese workshop, winery, old sawmill and souvenir boutique). Especially worth to visit in springtime!

This is an amazing Parador! Situated in the Portuguese countryside this Parador is a fabulous working farm with amazing gardens, orchards and forested areas. The house is one big museum, winery and cheese making facility. All the products grown on the farm appear in the houses restaurant and shop. This is an essential place to stay and visit if you are ever in central Portugal.

A baroque jewel from the 18th century restored with exquisite taste. The garden itself is worth a visit. Excellent restaurant. Wonderful park with fantastic old trees. They make their own wine and cheese. In short, this was probably the most beautiful Parador we ever visited, and that in Portugal :-) The only drawback is it's location, virtually in the nowhere of the Portugese countryside... Still, if you value a hotel of special beauty and style, this is your place. Also a perfect stopover between Porto and Spain.

Lovely, exquisite and charming place! In the midle of an old small town, surrounded by vineyards, Parador Casa da Insua is full of history! The food is delicious and made with local products. The wine is mostly a fine selection of what the region has to offer. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. Totally recommended it!

The hotel is very nice and the rooms were great. Breakfast was very good and the location is great, only a 10 min walk to the Lello bookstore. My only complaint is the lack of parking. There is a garage across the street that charges e12.50 a day. The problem is that the garage closes on Saturdays at 13:00 AND DOES BOT OOEN UNTIL MONDAY MORNING. otherwise loved it.

Went for bar snacks for lunch. Service was a little slow to start, but was fine, the food was good and the place is really well kept and full of history. Would be nice to be able to try their better wines by the glass. Cute little shop as well. Had a lot of areas for relaxing which is great to make it more intimate in a large hotel. Has a button to call for service so they can all be covered without needing individual staff.

A great charm hotel in an historical house. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The gardens are a dream and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. You can take advantage of the restaurant, which is one of the best in the area. The hotel produces its own wine and Incan tell you its incredible. Pickup some bottles to go and you will not regret it.

An amazing experience from the 1800's. One day is not enough to see everything on the property. It has a 5 star Hotel inside, swimming pool, beautiful gardens, olive oil factory, Serra da Estrela cheese Factory, and a lot more of beautiful stuff to see and enjoy....like I said before...one day is not enough to enjoy everything that Quinta da Ínsua has to offer.
