Pastelaria Batalha
We were at Batalha twice for breakfast with my husband and two small kids. It is a family run place where you could have very good food and coffee. The attitude is very friendly and helpful. They have childrens’ chairs. You can get there various kinds of pastries, croissants, sandwiches and bread and for breakfast they offer four different menus at good prices. I totally recommend it if you want to have delicious breakfast or just a coffee and something sweet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Péssimo. Deram-me um envelope com 4 pastéis de nata, uma bola de Berlim e um palmier coberto, por cima enfiaram-me uma meia dúzia de croissants enormes. Resultado os pastéis de nata estavam esborrachados bem como o palmier de tal forma que até o envelope se rompeu. Parecia comida do caixote do lixo!
 Terrible. They gave me an envelope with 4 custard tarts, a Berlin ball and a covered palmier, and half a dozen huge croissants on top. As a result, the custard tarts were crushed as well as the palmier in such a way that even the envelope broke. It looked like garbage bin food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Desloquei-me a pastelaria e encomendei um bolo de anos, das 2 vezes que falei com a empregada pedi para não meterem fruta no recheio e na massa por se alérgico, resultado pedaços de morango com Chantilly. Marquei para as 10h30 da manhã para o levantar, quando fui para levantar não tinha o bolo disponível tive que espera 1h para o poder levar e mesmo assim tive que falar com 2 pessoas para encontrar o bolo.
I went to the pastry shop and ordered a birthday cake, the 2 times I spoke to the waitress I asked them not to put fruit in the filling and dough because I was allergic, resulting in pieces of strawberry with whipped cream. I made an appointment for 10:30 am to pick it up, when I went to pick it up, the cake was not available I had to wait 1 hour to be able to take it and even then I had to talk to 2 people to find the cake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such friendly staff, and everything we tried we loved! We did a pastry-making workshop here, but the staff showed us many of their other creations, and we brought some of them to our place to try - they were fantastic. Such a great place - visit them!
