★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden within a back alley shopping complex off a side street, Pateo 51 is an absolute gem. With a covered outdoor seating area, next to a small fountain and surrounded by little shops and apartments, this is the perfect dining experience on a warm Lisbon evening. The staff is gracious, welcoming, and you will be treated like a guest in their home. The food is fantastic and is among the best in Lisbon.
If dining for two, I highly recommend the seafood stew, which is cooked in a traditional Portuguese copper Cataplana (ask your waiter for more information). The Assobio Branco (white wine) is light, fruity, and pairs well with any seafood dish. For dessert, the Coulant du Chocolat should not be missed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit disappointing that a 21 eur menu does not include a vegan option for starters or desert . The chef did make spaghetti with vegetables which was rather good but with few veggies and too much spaghetti.
The steak was great though!

You might have to do some sign language or pointing to order but staff are very accomodating, even offering a sample of an excellent mystery dessert we couldn’t work out ! Reasonably priced and a clean, welcoming atmosphere - a good find.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to this restaurant yesterday first time in Lisbon just amazing. One of the best octopus that I have eaten as a main. It was so tender... I really reccomend this restaurant real fresh food and friendly staff. I will come again for sure!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Octopus salad and black pork were good. Chocolate cake, a bit too sweet. Decent place but you can find better in Lisbon for the same price. Plus, it somehow lacks a "local" vibe and tries excessively to appear "chic".
