★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Carmelita Route has too much tarmac road especially when leaving Coimbra and arriving in Condeixa. It is not safe. There is an extra 15km to go down to Ourem and then up to Fátima. I prefer the Camino de Fátima in the opposite direction to the Camino de Santiago instead of the Carmelite Route.
