Também designado por "penedo do Brigadeiro" por ter sido seu proprietário um Brigadeiro da freguesia da Faia – concelho de Cabeceiras de Basto – e nele ter introduzido um conjunto de alterações que lhe permitiram o seu uso para recuperar de doença de índole respiratória.
Exteriormente está revestido de grades e umas escadas que permitem o acesso à parte superior.
