Está classificado como imóvel de interesse público. Do século XVI este pelourinho é constítuido por uma coluna de fuste octogonal que se eleva de uma base de quatro degraus quadrangulares. Sobre o rude capitel ergue-se um pináculo espiralado, rematado por bandeira férrea.
Pillory of Penalva de Alva is a pillory located in the parish of Penalva de Alva in the municipality of Oliveira do Hospital district of Coimbra. It is classified as property of public interest. From the 16th century this pillory consists of an octagonal stem column that rises from a base of four quadrangular steps. Over the rugged capital rises a spiral pinnacle, topped by an iron flag.
