R	Ricardo Marques De Sousa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food and great atmosphere, though I'd say it's less of a traditional experience and that this is more of a €€€ cost rating than a €€. Whilst more expensive than a more traditional Portuguese restaurant, the food, deserts and wine were all very good with equally good portion sizes.

This restaurant is in a small village (approx. 900 residents) that is a little "out of the way" yet seems to always be full. Been here twice for dinner, watched the disappointment on people's faces when told they couldn't be seated for an hour. More expensive than other restaurants in town but people make the drive to come here to eat . The owner, Joaquim, is welcoming and has a fair command of English. I have enjoyed coming here and will do so many more times to come

We tried the rice with prawns and the roasted octopus and both dishes were delicious. The house wine was a great choice. Desserts could have been a little better. Overall, I recommend this place if you're ever in the area looking for a nice wholesome meal on reasonableabudget.

We started with the soup of the day (tomato soup with egg). The soup was amazing, I recommend it also because we found out it is one the favourite dishes of the owner and you can feel it in the flavours. After the soup we went for the fish: salmon for me and tuna for my girlfriend. It was excellent, tasty and with very big portions. Food 10/10 Location 10/10 traditional like one of the old Portuguese restaurants. You will feel at home Considering the quality of the food, the quantity of the food and the owner's welcoming spirit I'd honestly say that it's a real deal coming here. Do not miss it if you are in Òbidos!
