We discovered this bridge by chance, but it was well worth the effort of the walk. Beautiful place, fantastic landscape. A good place to relax and unwind.

Fazendo a travessia do rio Bestança entre as freguesias de Ferreiros e Tendais. Tipologicamente trata-se de uma ponte moderna de estilo Barroco construída em granito. Apresenta tabuleiro em cavalete com cerca de 27 metros de comprimento e o arco que a sustenta é de volta perfeita. A largura do tabuleiro é de cerca de 4 metros apresentando guardas de ambos os lados com uma altura máxima de 50-60 centímetros. Apresenta uma calçada lageada constituída por pedras bem talhadas. Tendo sido um dos pontos mais importantes na travessia do rio Bestança durante mais de dois séculos. The Covelas Bridge is located in the parish of Ferreira de Tendais, Municipality of Cinfães, more precisely in the Place of Covelas. O caminho que passa na ponte faz parte de um dos trilhos do Bestança, pelo que aconselho a percorrerem o trilho todo. Beautiful place! I advise you to go down to the river and see the bridge from below. However, care should be taken to descend. The path that passes on the bridge is part of one of the Bestança's trails, so I advise you to go the whole trail.

A ponte localiza se a 770 metros da estrada principal onde está o Painel. Muito bonita a zona da Ponte!! I went to visit the Bridge along the trail that starts in Vila de Muros. I started the trail where the information panel of the Water and Stone Route is located. The bridge is located 770 meters from the main road where the Panel is located. The Bridge area is very beautiful!!
