It is worth visiting the place and preferably eat a Carvoada, for example at the Porto Brandão Restaurant. The area needs refurbishment to dignify the entire area surrounding the berth, it looks like it's coming soon, I hope so, because the area deserves it!

Port for the ferry that connects the two banks of the Tagus River from here to the Belén tower in Lisbon and Trafaria, in just 8 minutes you can go from one place to another at affordable prices and with great fluidity, currently promoters trying to make the zone activating the variety of bars and restaurants and in the near future a five-star hotel.

The 'Gare Marítima Rocha Conde de Óbidos' is a lovely art deco building from 1946-1949 by one of Portugal most important architects Porfírio Pardal Monteiro (1897-1957). Nice murals inside by José Sobral de Almada Negreiros (1893-1970). Check the ferry and admire the 'Gare Marítima' at the other side of the river Tejo. Guided visits can be arranged through the 'Porto de Lisboa.'

Really cool place, with three options of restaurant near the dock. One of them has a vegetarian dish.
