★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zum Zeitpunkt unseres Besuches - nichts los. Interessant ist es, wenn die Fischer zurückkehren. Der Eindruck wird massiv getrübt wenn man den Müll hinter der Mauer am Rand des Geländes sieht. Deshalb nur zwei Sterne!
At the time of our visit - nothing going on. It is interesting when the fishermen return. The impression is massively clouded when you see the garbage behind the wall on the edge of the site. Therefore only two stars!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Fischerhafen (ehem. Walfänger Hafen) von Sagres. Interessant und spannend zu beobachten, wie die Fischer ihre Arbeit verrichten. Wir beobachteten die Fischer dabei, wie sie -direkt auf dem Boot- die Fische bearbeiteten und Abfall ins Wasser warfen. Das ist ein Fest für die wartenden Möven und Kormoranen, die mit Geschrei und Gezeter um die Nahrung "kämpften".
The fishing port (former whaling port) of Sagres. Interesting and exciting to watch how the fishermen do their work. We watched the fishermen working on the fish right on the boat and throwing rubbish into the water. This is a festival for the waiting seagulls and cormorants who "fought" for food with screams and nagging.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely fishing port with a busy fish market. The fish market auction can be seen from inside the restaurant A Sereia through large viewing windows weekdays starting at 15h on Monday and from 15:30 Tuesday to Friday. There's normally a great selection of different varieties of fish. Well worth a visit.
