Rooms are nice and spacious. The restaurant servs great food, but their chairs could be more comfortable. The breakfast is good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel cheats its guests. We paid for a deluxe double room -- 28m2 with terrace and instead was given a 16 m2 small, cramped room with a small balcony that we could not pass each other on. They still charged us for the expensive room.
Not only that, even though the booking was "No prepayment required - pay at the property" , they took a pre-auth on my card before we arrived and did not use it or cancel it when taking full payment for our stay + dinner. (which was expensive for the variable quality. Definitely NOT fine dining).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful pousada in the hills. Lovely views from all the rooms.
Restaurant very attractive with open fire. Imaginative cuisine well prepared, presented & very good service.
Lovely lounge & a few wood burning stoves around, but not actually in the lounge.
The corridors to the rooms were rather cold & the bathroom wasn't heated which would have been welcome at this time of year.
The staff were all very friendly & helpful.
