Nesta zona é possível apreciar o contraste entre a encosta norte, densamente arborizada, tantas vezes maravilhosamente envolvida pelas neblinas que sobem do mar, e a encosta sul, despida, quase mediterrânea, com o Guincho ao fundo. Há muitos caminhos diferentes e bem marcados.
 Hiking through the Serra de Sintra is unique. In this area it is possible to appreciate the contrast between the north slope, densely wooded, so often wonderfully enveloped by the mists that rise from the sea, and the south slope, bare, almost Mediterranean, with Guincho in the background. There are many different and well-marked paths.
