A Praia da Fragosa localiza-se na frente de mar do lugar de Paranho de Areia. Possui um areal extenso. A Norte é delimitada pela foz do Rio do Esteiro.
As zonas centro e Sul têm formações rochosas ao longo da linha de água. A cerca de 400 metros da costa é possível observar o ilhéu da Forcada.
Esta praia é muito frequentada por pescadores e gentes na apanha do sargaço.
O largo de terra batida que serve de estacionamento de apoio é muito vasto.
 It is an Ocean Beach located on the coast of Portugal — Iberian Peninsula — in the municipality of Póvoa de Varzim, bathed by the Atlantic Ocean.
Praia da Fragosa is located on the seafront of Paranho de Areia. It has an extensive beach. The North is delimited by the mouth of the Rio do Esteiro.
The central and southern zones have rock formations along the waterline. About 400 meters from the coast you can see the islet of Forcada.
This beach is very popular with fishermen and people who pick up sargasso.
The dirt square that serves as a support parking lot is very wide.
