A small beach that is more like a "locals" sunbathing spot. Behind the beach is a highground like a cliff, giving the beach some picturesque vantage point. A convenient stop between Seville and Portimao during a family getaway to the Algarve. More below:
There's a lift that is convenient especially if you have a stroller or someone who would rather not walk. But there is also a walkway from the top to the beach.
There was no playground for the kids NOR shade to keep away from the stong sun. But hey that's why you fi yk the beach, right?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately this sandy beach was closed for 5 days after the light storm on Atlantic ocean. The lifeguards have given pretty basic and scientifically groundless explanations. People on the beach seeing the red flag, which forbid to swim in the ocean were really confused. Ocean was clean and not stormy. My vacation was ruined. Only two stars for Albufeira.
