★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been looking for a spot like this and found it on the last day of our trip. GOOD local food! The bifana was to die for and at 3 euro was a bargain. I had never had Atlantic cod and was very happy that I tried it here, the fried cod with onions and potatoes was beautiful. The waiters are very efficient and a happy mob, they work very hard to make your food experience delightful.
Note: no English menu so be prepared to use Google translate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Read mixed reviews and went to the place with minimal expectations. The wait was a little long but man was the food delicious. The food looked super simple but it tasted pretty good. Our waiter tried his best to converse in English. Appreciated the effort. Great value and well worth a try!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stumbled upon this place as I googled "octopus rice" in Chiado, where we were staying. The food, the service, the value, were all top notch. This also seemed to be a favorite among locals. I'm a family of foodies and everything we ordered was fantastic. And we are big fans of garlic. We ate here twice on our week long vacation.
What we ordered: Roasted sausage and Shrimp cooked in olive oil and garlic, Vino Verde, bread to start. We shared the steak (also to our pleasant surprise was seasoned perfectly with fresh slivers of garlic), and the infamous octopus rice. The rice comes cooked in a pot and has more broth than a typical risotto. But the flavors were amazing with sliced up grilled octopus, rice, herbs and definitely a white wine and garlic based broth. We will be back!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional Portuguese Restaurant. Lots of locals with group seating and good atmosphere. My Veal and Mushrooms was very tough. The fries and rice that were served alongside were good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Portuguese restaurant in one of the busy street of the Lisbon's city centre. The place was very busy during my visit, and the table were too close to each other that there was almost no space to sit comfortably but I guess it was because was weekend night. Anyway the food comes in good portions and it was good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Someone at our hostel recommended this restaurant and it was such a wonderful experience. Cesar was our server and immediately put us at ease with his kindness. The portions are generous and quite tasty! They have lots of options for meat eaters and a few side dishes for vegetarians and vegans. Definitely a great spot for local food. Highly recommend for a genuine portuguese experience!
