it‘s a super nice surfcamp, which is close to the beach. the stuff is very friendly and openminded for personal wishes. the breakfast was big ranged with a „daily meal“, which was very good! :) next to the great meals, there were also some relaxing yoga sessions and of course the good guided surf lessons :)

So there are two perspectives you can have on this place: as an accommodation or as an overall experience. On both I would give it the highest score. I will try to write a thorough review, for those thinking about coming to this place. As “only” an accommodation, it is spot on as described: a nice, clean house with big, well set-up common areas, modern-decorated basic rooms and bathrooms and a daily decent breakfast. Great location: 5 minute walk to the beach, close to restaurants/shops, etc., and the lodge has a cool pool that guests can use. You get exactly what you expect and what you paid for. (Due to corona, what was previously a most-likely easy buffet set-up, has had to be adapted to follow corona regulations, which is obviously tricky in all hospitality environments. The team is super patient and helpful to get all your requests taken care of. I particularly liked the pancakes!) For the overall experience I would give it another additional star if possible. Everything about this place makes you want to come back and it is perfect for any kind of trip that people would want to do. Couples-trip, sisters, friends or even solo. There is usually one group activity organized by the team every evening (dinner, bbq, pool party, yoga, wine-tasting) and you are free to join in, if you want. If you don’t, there is no issue. I think this is what makes the week here appropriate for every kind of trip. You have enough time on your own, but also have time to hang-out with others. Dinner is very affordable and good, so it is a good option if you do not want to find a restaurant. I think most people join at least 3 out of 5 times during the week. Obviously, depending on who is staying there at the same time as you are, the joint activities can turn into a lot of fun, and many evenings a lot of people sit together to have a beer or two in the evening. The surf course: it is so good! Disclaimer: Manage your expectations. The more you speak to people who surf the clearer one thing becomes. NOBODY can teach you how to surf. It is not even the same as going to ski school. To be able to surf you need to put in the hours, swallow the water, and do it all over again many many times. HOWEVER, the surf instructors are great. I have never met more positive people that thoroughly enjoy what they do as much as they do. They will also give you the confidence to try things out. Also, you will most likely be able to stand up on the board, which without them you most likely wouldn’t be able to do on your first week. One more thing worth mentioning is maybe all the work that is put behind the scenes: as soon as you get there you will be introduced to the team: Manager, Teamers, Yoga Instructor, Cook, etc. and these guys make all the difference. Yes, for the most part they are responsible for you being comfortable, and they take these responsibilities seriously, but at the same time, they are super friendly. They all live there and week after week they make sure that the new guests that come feel comfortable and get good vibes only. Thanks to the team over there for making sure everything was spot on. Not really an easy balance to achieve. Personal recommendations: ask the surf instructors to recommend you their favourite food, partake on the wine and cheese night (the manager of the Portugal camps gives a great introduction to the Portuguese wines of the area), take a skateboard for a ride along the promenade by the beach and take your board out at least twice a day!

Had a very nice stay at the Camp. I really enjoyed the food and the activities which were provided by the staff. Very friendly and open minded atmosphere. We also got some video and photo analysis of the surfing sessions which really helped to improve my surfing. Cant wait to book my next stay, thanks to the team for the all around service.
