Really cool palace. Great information about its former occupants inside. It's an easy train ride from either Sintra or Lisbon and then a short (maybe 15 minute) walk from the Queluz-Belas station to the palace. Gardens are cool too, if you like going for a stroll in the sun. Because it's off the beaten track a bit, it wasn't busy when I visited (September 2021); I nearly had the place to myself.

If you love decorative art and regular gardens you will enjoy this place. The stuff is very friendly and all the signs and descriptions are translated into English. Do not forget to visit their botanical garden.

I do tours here for the last 5 years! It's Just an amazing Palace nearby Lisboa! Can be considered a small version of Versailles! Now all the rooms and gardens and house were totally restored! So you will love it for sure!

Beautiful place but could be cheaper. During our visit we where the only people visiting the Palace so it was quite unique experience. On the photo is the first artificial waterfall from XVIII Century

Just love this palace, there’s a lot of history and it has the most stunning backyard/garden that I’ve ever seen.

The palace and gardens are huge! Plan to spend many hours, first touring the palace and its dozens of reasonably-well-curated rooms; then the gardens and horse stables will take another few hours. The restaurant, entered from the outside only, has a lovely terrace and great service with interesting menu and gourmet prices.

Highly recommended! A lot of history of the Portuguese monarchy. The palace is very well preserved. The gardens are very beautiful (you will need some time to walk around them). There is also a nice coffee shop inside for a quick snack or coffee.

Magnificent, well kept palace that somehow still seems "sized for humans". Lots of information to be found from the info tablets or one can just enjoy looking at the beautiful furniture and ceilings. Long, straight corridors where one can imagine the queens and kings walking, entertaining and living. There is also a tiled canal and large gardens which unfortunately I didn't get to really enjoy as it was pouring out.
