Matty en Debbie doen er alles aan om het de gasten naar het zin te maken. Wij waren er 3 dagen en het was fantastisch.

Matty en Debbie zijn werkelijk fantastische gastvrouwen die je door hun persoonlijke aandacht vanaf het eerste moment thuis laten voelen. Mooie authentieke kamers met veel karakteristieke elementen in een sereen rustige omgeving. Ook de werkelijk unieke plek waar het uitzicht en de uitbundig kleurrijke tuin het geheel afmaken zorgen echt voor een heerlijk ontspannen verblijf.

Matty en Debbie zijn twee warme gastvrouwen die met gevoel voor detail en authenticiteit hun gastenkamers hebben ingericht. De tuin is een oase: prachtige bomen, bloeiende planten, aloë vera en twee 60 jaar oude prachtig bloeiende bougainvillia's. Een heerlijk zwembad. Fantastisch ontbij met zelfgemaakte jams. Alles tiptop verzorgd. Een aanrader. Wij komen terug zodra we kunnen.

Ons verblijf in Quinta Azul bij Matty & Debbie was geweldig. De prachtige tuin met fijn zwembad is eigenlijk al alles wat je nodig hebt op deze mooie plek. Daarnaast was de kamer erg schoon, netjes en mooi ingericht! Wij hadden de aparte badkamer maar dit was eigenlijk helemaal niet erg omdat deze wat groter (en luxe) was! Omdat er in Quinta Azul maar 2 kamers zijn is het erg rustig. Wij hebben op onze laatste avond de zonsondergang gekeken vanaf het dakterras, een echte aanrader! De omgeving is erg leuk: verschillende dorpjes met leuke restaurants en mooie strandjes op 5-15 minuten rijden. Ook rijden er genoeg ubers en taxi's, mocht je een avond niet zelf willen rijden en een biertje willen drinken ;). Tot slot: het ontbijt. Elke ochtend was het weer een verrassing wat we kregen. Geen standaard ontbijt, maar veel zelfgemaakt eten. Super lekker! Bedankt voor dit fijne verblijf & we komen zeker terug!

Me faltan estrellas para ponerle a este lugar, a sus dos magníficas anfitrionas Matty y Debbie y a sus perritas acompañantes. Si existe el paraíso en la tierra, está en Quinta Azul. Fácil acceso desde la carretera y aparcamiento en una zona habilitada para ello junto a la finca. Es un alojamiento para desconectar de todo y disfrutar de la calma y el sonido del viento entre los árboles. Los jardines son espectaculares y están sumamente cuidados. Hay disponibles bancos y espacios para sentarse a disfrutar de las vistas por todos lados. La piscina es perfecta para refrescarse y relajarse bajo la sombra de los árboles que la rodean o las sombrillas, en las estupendas tumbonas que tienen preparadas. La habitación y el baño están muy limpias y ordenadas, con detalles que la hacen más que una simple habitación de B&B: cafetera, hervidor de agua, tazas, copas y vasos disponibles, toallas suaves y agradables, secador eléctrico de toallas, amenities de baño, un maravilloso albornoz, acceso a una nevera para guardar algo de comida y bebida. Ventilador y aire acondicionado en la habitación, ventajas con mosquiteras. Debbie y Matty son maravillosas personas que te tratan como si estuvieras en casa desde el primer momento, te ayudan en todo lo posible, te ofrecen muy buenas recomendaciones de restaurantes, playas, tiendas...lo que necesites. Si tienes suerte puedes disfrutar de ver a Matty pintando en la terraza o con sus amigas haciendo yoga (y unirte a la clase, por supuesto!) Debbie se encarga de los desayunos y cada día es una delicia lo que prepara, todo casero, hecho al momento, delicioso, presentado con mimo y atenta a cualquier necesidad que tengas. Una auténtica pasada, lo mejor del día eran los desayunos de Debbie. El mejor alojamiento en el que hemos estado nunca, sin dudarlo. Tenemos muchas ganas de repetir y de llevar allí a familia y amigos para que conozcan ese lugar tan especial. Importante: no hablan español o portugués. Hablan holandés e inglés. Tenlo en cuenta para hacerte entender.

Wij hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad bij Matty en Debbie in Quinta Azul! De prachtige tuin, de heerlijke ontbijtjes, de authentieke kamer, Dirkje en Aartje (de liefste hondjes ooit), het zwembad, de locatie; alles was perfect. Een dikke aanrader wanneer je in de Algarve bent en graag op een unieke plek verblijft. Matty en Debbie zijn super gastvrij en gezellig, en hebben goede tips voor restaurantjes, stranden en leuke plaatsen in de buurt. Wij zullen deze plek nooit vergeten en zouden zeker terug komen! Onze vrienden hebben inmiddels ook geboekt. Veel liefs van Jerom en Florence!

What a fantastic location to refuel. Very centrally located, beaches and charming towns are easily accessible by car. And then also the beautiful gardens, the very comfortable, fully equipped rooms and of course the super hostesses Matty and Debbie... Thank you very much for a few unforgettable days.

Everything I have to say about my stay at Quinta Azul will not fit here but if there would be a paradise I'd like to stay in eternally, that would be at Quinta Azul. The room is beautiful and has everything you need for your stay, not to mention the gorgeous views from the garden which is even more astonishing in real life than in the pictures! ? The whole premises are very clean and tidy. Matty and Debbie were very warm, attentive and welcoming well before I arrived. They kindly accommodated my late check in and made me feel very comfortable from the beginning - it was very much like being a special guest with friends or family. Me being a solo traveller, they also made sure I could contact them both in case I ran into trouble and many times they offered to help such as getting to places, contacting people or arranging services, getting specific items and even getting the stubborn lotion stains off my white clothing (where the very friendly housekeeper Emília did a fantastic job! ?). They have plenty of contacts for all sorts including massages, yoga, meditation, painting, and more but please book them in advance as they're truly 9/10 fully booked! (but I managed to sneak in a lovely Thai massage ?). They also have contacts for airport transfers and I recommend that you consult with them for this prior to making your own arrangements. Debbie makes the most delicious breakfast with the best fruit salads I've ever tasted and beautiful homemade jams (you MUST try her tomato jam! ?) and if there's anything you don't like or really want to try, Debbie is happy to make these arrangements too. Their two lovely dogs ? (Aartje and Dirkje) are very friendly too and might come to you to say hi but they won't bother you throughout the day if you're worried about that. Please be aware that the location is not like Albufeira, this is a small village with one atm machine, one small supermarket with basics, one typical portuguese café and a few restaurants. It's ideal for a getaway from busy touristy places but even these are fairly close (Carvoeiro, Portimão) if you wish to go for a drink or on a night out. Also be prepared to walk 30+ minutes to the nearest beach (5 min drive or Uber). If you walk by the coast you will be rewarded with stunning views and a bit of history ? This was truly the best vacation I ever had and I'm so very grateful for Matty and Debbie opening their home to guests this year. My hope is that they keep it open every year because I surely want to come back here with friends and family to show them this beauty! P.S. I also must mention that Matty and Debbie spotted that it was my 30th birthday on one of the days and to my surprise they got me a lovely present ??! Quinta Azul is not just a place - it's a feeling. And I'll miss it a lot ?
