I highly recommend dining at the hotel as they serve a wonderful meal and the company is sure to be friendly and fun. Thank you to the whole team for a great stay. I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling in the Douro region. This family also produce wine and other excellent natural products that are great quality and value.

We were greeted in the bar/living area of the main building with a glass of wine and relaxed there for a bit before being shown to our room, which was charming and inviting with its stone walls. We wandered around the property during the beautiful sunset, and then came back for dinner, which you absolutely should opt to have! It was a generous three course meal and each couple was given a full bottle of wine, and after dessert we were even given a glass of 40 year old wine from their stores! Please do yourself a favor and stay at this wonderful family establishment!

The whole place is very nicely decorated with antiques and the food is incredible, everything is all made. I have been there twice and will go again when I have the chance.

The ingredients tasted so fresh and everything was prepared beautifully. Dinner is served at a big table with other guests and it is a great experience to talk to people from around the world. Definitely a highlight in our Portugal trip.The host was so friendly and we felt like family the minute we checked in :) We will definitely return when we come back to Portugal!

The rooms are very spacious and have an incredible atmosphere to them, you can feel the history in the air. The highlights must be the homemade port they make and the gatherings in the living room by the incredible views. Don't miss out!
